I think it was a toss up as they both look really nice with different characteristics. Maybe have to do a trade in the spring to see what the other one gets from hatching. Though I will hatch whatever she lays right now.

She is currently in with my very dark Mottled young roo. I am thinking he may be better than Rascal when he is fully mature. He is really super nice right now, imo. I will probably switch roos in another 8 weeks.

Color and pattern do not mean as much to me as the conformation. I haven't the patience to work on both at once. I usually stick to conformation and get that type in there and figure the color and pattern will get there eventually. If I can ever retain a perfect bird I will have an awesome pen of breeding birds but I do like the challenge of creating something gorgeous.

Ok so my awesome Dad came this week and helped put up the aviary netting on top of my 10 x 30 run and cut a hole in my coop and put a dog door in there. This morning, I not only locked myself in the coop, but had to shove 11 ticked off chickens and 2 ticked off guineas through the pop door- to find out my dumb a@@ left the human door to the run open! OMG I have PREGNANCY BRAIN ALREADY!!!!

OMG...That soooo sounds like my daily life!! I blame it on all the platinum blond I have growing in!!

There is no way I could be prego and doing this...I spent both of my pregnancies rearranging my house daily...and I mean switching entire rooms to other rooms and moving the stove and fridge because I did not like my kitchen!! LOL

If I had been a chicken owner those poor birds would have been sleeping somewhere new evey night!! LOL

Notice how I said my dad and not my DH- b/c I'm pretty sure he's going to kick me out of the house if I move the cat food or the towel racks or the dining room table again. And we're having a party tomorrow night so I already wanred him we're moving the Christmas tree tonight

My DH had just given up..I always did it while he was gone!! It was like coming home to a different house everyday...the only time I think it bugged him really is when I decided to put the bed in the living room...back then we had only 1 tv so it was either in the bedroom or living room...I decided to combine the rooms so I could sit or lay !! Made sense to my 8 1/2 month prego self at the time!!

He is working out of town now and I did our bedroom last week...he got worried!!

And yay for your DAD!!

Yes, a good rotten. He's decided he likes his yogurt drops and loves his yogurt-dipped papaya treats. I let him run around my living room in the afternoons if I'm watching TV. And it's funny because he will hop around and my cats will play with him.

On the couch...and he left a present the dogs ate. XDD

Whew... what a week. Packed up the house and that took forever. Good news is we closed yesterday! And we picked up our new dog, a 4-month old Great Pyrenees. We named him Spartacus. He traveled perfectly in the car. He's been introduced to all the animals. We put him on the deck last night to sleep and he didn't whine or bark or anything. My husband is so impressed! He seems very easy-going and smart. I'd love to get a girl to go with him. So glad I finally talked Cole into a dog!

My poor chickens have been completely neglected this week. Must make up for that today!
