Amazing! I'm surprised transporting that late in her pregnancy didn't cause problems.
Congratulations!

These are the sheep we already had. We have a flock of hair sheep. 13 now! We brought the babydolls in yesterday. I think they are due in March or so. I have two goats whose deliveries are imminent and one other ewe.

I down sized a little, I believe Amy got a few birds from me then. After my daughter got a few months old we re cooped and I have been able to get back to about the same number of birds but it's easier with them off the ground.a lot less mess.how are the Millie hens working for you?

They are wonderful!!!! Amy gave me a beautiful roo and I can't wait to hatch out some cute little ones in the spring.

I hope you get lots of nice babies. It broke my heart when my roo died.

Very cute! What kind is she? Looks like a nice, cozy bed.

She is a Dachshund. Usually a very nice breed. She is considered a mini, weighing in at about 6 lbs. She is not spayed but I will have that done in the next month or so as soon as her milk dries up from her last litter. She seems to feel pretty good, running through the house and playing. She asks to go outside when she needs to and loves to snuggle in Leah's bed (hence the photo). Leah has her computer right next to it so she happily watches her while she sits at it and if Leah gets up so does Roxy. Leah went in the bathroom and closed the door and Roxy yipped at her wanting in, too. She did not care if I went outside but had a fit when Leah went out to get tubs for cage cleaning. Thank goodness she has taken up with her but we shall see what she does when DH comes home. He always makes the animals fall in love with him.

I just came inside to doctor my torn ear. A Guinea thought it was a launching pad and clawed me a good one when I was in the coop feeding the brooders. This wind has made every one freaky. She went tearing out of the coop like a crazed banshee and my ear got in the way. I didn't even know I was bleeding until I leaned over to pour feed in the troughs and blood started dripping. I was puzzled for a moment then realized - DUH! My ear hurts. And anything on the head bleeds like the mischief.

Now back out to try and get the pens fed and eggs gathered. I hate wind! I can take the cold, I can take snow and I can grudgingly take the rain but I HATE the wind.

Sounds like Roxy is going to fit in the family just great! Happy for Leah she is already claimed her for her human pet...LOL

So sorry for the ear!!! Oweee!

ok I should have finished reading before posting.. still congrats on the lambs..

was the wind as crazy all over as it was here in Hickory tavern..??? I looked up and out my sliders and rolling by was almost my whole flock.. the wind had them tumbling some head over heals and others slammed on their sides.. everyone except my two big heavy Brahma girls. they just walked normal to the pile up of birds... haha.. and Earl.. oh my gosh Earl gets up after being rolled by the wind and then faces the wind, wings out and held down at his side, like superman into the wind.. ahhhhahhaha tears rolling at him out there.. I ended up putting everyone up in the coop and hen yard.. not worth the risk of someone getting hurt.. I have my little Easter eggers that are light as feathers.. I could see them blown right out of the tree tonight..

took me a while to catch up but it seams like the end of 2011 for the SC group has had a pretty good year...

later chicks..

We already had here. She's part of our existing flock of sheep. We're getting better as farmers! We knew she was due any day. Usually they just pop out and surprise us! My two goats are due any day. One is having twins and one a single probably. Plus I have another ewe expecting a single soon. The new babydoll sheep probably won't deliver until spring sometime. I'm decided if we will sell those. I'll let y'all know!

I'm so ready for the winds to die down. We suffer from winds more than most people. Our new trampoline has been blowing everywhere. We finally got in tucked somewhere relatively safe. I hate wind!
