Last night was the first time this winter the chicken's water was frozen solid. One more cold night tonight, and then it is supposed to be above freezing again for awhile. I really wonder what this summer will be like after the winter we have had. Really hot, or just the opposite, like our winter was.

Yes, a wonderful spring and an unseasonably mild summer leading into a gorgeous autumn would be dreamy!

I know the hard freeze has it's usefulness as far as bugs and such but I do hope this is the last "below 30's" we have this year!

I have always hated the cold!

If the wind would not be so harsh it would't seem so bad!

I'm sitting in the garage crying over my loyal companion, Max. I found him in the back yard having seizures a few hours ago. I gave him Aspirin and Ativan, per my mothers instructions. The seizures start to pass, then return. My heart breaks for him bc I know he is uncomfortable. I don't know what else I can do?!?!?! I'm so mad, frustrated, and sad at the same time!!! Please pray he pulls through. I know there are we vets open, but that's not an option for us

Could he have gotten into anything? Has he ever had seizures before? Sorry for so many questions. I'm so sorry this is happening! My lab is on medicine for her seizures, but the first time it happened it scared me to death ( and I'm an LVT at an animal hospital and see it all the time). I would just try to keep him as comfortable as possible. I'll be praying for you! Hopefully they'll pass and he'll be just fine. Keep us updated.

Oh wow! I am so sorry!!! How old is he? What breed is he? Has he had signs of trouble before? I wonder because I have a chuahuaha I fed something to that I didn't want to eat...calamari...and she had seizures and almost died...she bounced back though...I kept her warm and kept her tongue wet with water and she finally got over it...she was 10 and that was 3 years ago...I pray he can bounce back too!

I wonder because I have a chuahuaha I fed something to that I didn't want to eat...calamari...and she had seizures and almost died...she bounced back though...I kept her warm and kept her tongue wet with water and she finally got over it...she was 10 and that was 3 years ago...I pray he can bounce back too!

Seems calamari is poison to dogs...I had no idea! Could he have gotten to something toxic? Or...God forbid...someone poisoned him?

Have you taken his temp...fever will cause seizures also...aspirin would be helping the fever ...had a cat sieze once over fever. Also feel his abdomen to see if his bladder if full and blocked...
