Update:
Max is about 5. Male. Boxer.
Fenced in back yard. Nothing to get into.
Yes he peed on me twice.
First seizure.
i took him to the vet. They agreed he was having a seizure. I have no clue how long he was like that b4 I found him. I witnessed him like that for 2+ hours b4 deciding to take him in. Dr Carslile said he wasn't running a fever, which was good. Also said the cold weather prob kept him from getting too hot. They gave him something to stop the seizures, and he went to sleep. He's resting and getting iv fluids. Will access him in the am. Leaning towards epilepsy, since there are no signs of injury, and nothing for him to get in to. Just hoping he has a speedy recovery, as I am all cried out. I've already decided that if he isn't better in the am, I'm gonna say good bye. I don't want him to suffer

Oh Nikki, my heart is breaking for you. My cockerspaniel "Winston" started having seizures when he was 5 years old. They never really figured out what it was, he was older than normal to be starting epileptic seizures, he's a house dog so no poisens etc. I learned on my own that he was sensitive to noise and the seizures usually happened when something was going on that upset him. Not always, sometimes they happened in the middle of the night but things such as lots of company at our house, 4th of July fireworks always did it. We never medicated, I just kept a journal and I changed his food. He is doing great now at age 13 and hasn't had a seizure in 3 1/2 years now. I hope your Max will be okay and you can find something that will help him.

No casualties here either. I am amazed as I felt as if I was going to die out in that mess yesterday. Much less the few birds I had to leave in tractors. Baby chicks are still doing great running around outside with mama hen.

Well I lost one young frizzle cochin roo.

And he was in a very protected house so I was surprised to find him dead. The water wasn't frozen in there.

There is a chicken auction in Timmonsville every saturday night, but you really need to be careful and watch what you are getting. A good bit of the time people are dumping off their unwanted chickens. Meaning problem chickens. Its really best to buy from a reputable breeder or someone you know.

Also Tractor Supply is getting ready to have their chick days. I've heard only good things about them and their chicks.

I am so sorry to hear this, Nikki! I know you love him dearly. Boxers are so wonderful and I am sure he has given you many wonderful times. I hope he recovers beautifully but if not, your decision is very understandable.
