I have to bragg.....I had a yummy chick fil a biscuit for breakfast. No kids fussing/fighting while trying to eat was a plus!!! Then went to the bookstore and didn't have to worry abt keeping up with my boys or disturbing others. It's been very peaceful and quite thus far. Grandma is picking up the boys from school and they are staying over night. This is gonna b a GOOD day :)

It is windy but nice! Possibly some severe weather moving thru the state today too...

I am NOT going to work on our taxes. Matter of fact, I probably won't until sometime in March. I am in no hurry to pay any!

Our property tax bill got straightened out.......FINALLY. It is about $1300 cheaper now. Dang county screwed it up again. Second time since 1998! And I didn't get a refund the first time like I was supposed to have. They have no idea who dropped the ball there so they are working on that $700.

Good thing is this refund paid Feb & March house payments...so I am ahead on those......if I ignore that though, I am ahead on my principle.
Once a year we take whatever overages I have (I pay more than the payment usually) and either put that towards our principle or a payment or two in the next year, depending on how finances look at the end of the year. It doesn't seem like much, but I have knocked a year off in the past 10 years by paying $5-$50 extra a month!

Bad thing is...........GAS PRICES! OMG. If a gas company would pay my gas for a month, I would stick magnetic signs on the jeep and advertise for them! LMAO!

I am seriously going to have to sit down and reconfigure our budget with the way prices are increasing!

Get more chickens, so you have more to do at home. Then you won't drive as much. Therefore, gas prices won't matter. Is that chicken math?

LMAO yes!

BUT that does not help. Still have much to do. The farm is almost 20 miles away, DD has to go to classes at SCC, errands have to be done for two households.

March is going to be a rough month. For me anyway....I plan on adding more silkies as therapy :)

March: 15 years ago this year we lost DH's mom. She was in her early 50s I think. I got a tattoo on inside of my arm in her memory back in Jan. It is a dove holding a pink ribbon.
It is also my 19 year anniversary with DH this month... The hardest is his mom - and I still do not want to talk about it 15 years later. We were only married 4 years. It was rough on us as a family....He was a momma's boy so it is rough enough for him every year.

That's tough. Gas is a bugger, isn't it? Taxes... we never file until November or so. Plenty of time! Gotta love extensions!

ME: Honey after I get spring cleaning done, I am going to hire a cleaning service to come in once a week.
DH: Is it going to come out of your check?
ME: Probably will.
DH: Kim, you don't get a check.
ME: But you do, and I get an allowance.
DH: No you don't...you just GIVE yourself an allowance.
ME: Whatever, stop nitpicking.

I guess I thought being married to a country boy, I would be more spoiled.

We had bee class last night. I'm so confused!

I didn't realize we were counting guineas and all our other animals.

HaHa...you didn't miss anything...we got to counting and I think got carried away! I love hearing how many and what everyone has and does! I can understand why you estimate at 400...sooo many nice and large pens there on rainbow row! I can't wait to see the new additions... and the house get there finally for you!
