Actually it is 2 really large shipping crates stacked. then I cut the sides off and built in a door with hardware cloth screening and plastic sheeting for the roofing. I used smaller shipping crates for the nesting boxes and the lids for the fence line. here are a few more pics so you can see the details. I try to do everything from repurposed materials. The only items I had to buy to make these was the hinges, nails/screws, dowels and dowel holders, hardware cloth and roofing. All of the wood was reused from shipping materials. and the knobs and handles were reused from pieces of furniture and cabinets and stuff that I have collected.
Above, Interior of coop, my roost poles are a bit crooked. lol And the exterior of my nesting boxes.
A view from the pop door to the run that the birds enjoy when I am not at home. And a view of the pop door.
I wish y'all could see the colors and markings of my muscovys better, I am going to have to catch them on a cloudy day, for whatever reason my phone just didn't capture the coloring very well. And don't tell my little Buff Orp hen but the ducks are my favorites.![]()

Did you ever try an electric fence? It won't kill the dog but gives it enough of a twang not to want to touch it again. I've been using one for about 12 years. The control box last me 3-4 years and costs less then $30.00. The wire is less then $30. I use fi-shock. I have heard many animals touch the wire and yelp.
I am setting here this morning listening to Dorkings hatch out! Reds and Coloreds. What a sweet sound!![]()
