While we were on vacation last week, two more of our young birds began to lay, and our faithful gal produced a double-yolk egg! I imagine they thought, "OK! We'll lay. We'll lay. Just come back!" Odd as this sounds and as offended as my sons might be, being away from my feathered babies was like time apart from my children: They look so different after just a few days.
Is there anyone within a couple hours of Aiken selling silver laced wyandotte hens? I'm anxious to add to my flock, and for some reason I can't post a "wanted" classified at BYC.
