Me too Nancy!! Fortunately, I may have buyers for all/most of my chicks before the meetup... so that means .....EMPTY BROODER!!! Whoop!! Of course figuring out where to put them all as they grow is my most challenging issue....
DH has been dropping hints about converting the gazebo in the back, into a coop.....he wants to move my VERY LOUD buff orp pullet to the other side of the yard, away from our bedroom. She just likes to complain, and complain, and complain, VERY LOUDLY. She makes more noise than my two roosters combined!! Granted, she's a bit cramped, but that's just because she couldn't handle living with the other big girls, so she had to go in one of my bantam coops. I do let her out daily to free range. But if she and her buddy move, that only means...MORE COOP SPACE!!
I've got to work really hard this month, pulling my yard together. DH loves the birds, but he doesn't like to see our "comforts" sacrificed for them.
If I get my little patio/ firepit in place, it will certainly be worth a few more birds....
