Hey there fellow SoCal people. My apologies in advance, I haven't read the whole thread. Here's my situation: I ordered 6 day old chicks from MYPetChicken that will be shipped on April 18th (six different breeds, all hens hopefully, and all are getting a Marek's vaccination). My living situation just changed rather abruptly and these long awaited chickens don't seem to be in the cards, but I don't have enough time to cancel the order. So, if anyone is interested in them I can bring them to this meet-up... my only request is that they get a good home. If the meet-up organizers want to use these chickies for the raffle (again, my apologies, I haven't read the whole thread and don't know the whole raffle story), let me know. It would be nice if I could get $5 or so per chick to cover a minimal part of the money I spent, but I'm willing to negotiate for the chance of these babies getting a good home. Let the PMs commence. Oh, and thank you for reading!

Sure thing. One of each of the following, and assuming they all survive the trip through the mail: speckled sussex, easter egger (standard), buff orp, cuckoo marans, silver laced wyandotte, and BLR wyandotte.

Hey all I have been ht with a serious doubble whammey!! I just got my taxes back and this year not good for me at all, as well as the home i have been renting from my friends we found is forclosed on after paying a years rent up front we get kicked out 3 months aiter, SOOO I have until the end of the month before i have to move my self and all my animals. So if anyone is interested i have some animals for sale.

3 serama hens $25ea

3 2 month serama chick, look to be hens $15 ea
6 modern game bantams One adut hen and f youngsters i think 4 pullets and i cockerel $10 ea
and One rose brested cocatoo DNA sexed male. make reasonable offer on him, VERY friendly, no temperament issues, sells in stores for 1600. 14 months old!!
I also have one lowline angus heffer 6 months, this is a mini angus cow. $300.00 normally 800.00 up great for meat and milk, should mature 800 lbs

Well hundegard, hopefully you will be able to keep them, but if not just bring em' to the meet-up, I am sure you can find a good home for them there.

CALLING ALL BYCers to have a THINK TANK about the raffles for the meet-up. AllAmericanChick came up with some good ideas, anyone else have some ideas???? Time is growing short................

we can put raffle tickets or paper, whatevers into manila envelopes for every individual item... i don't really make anything cool, or have many good stuff to offer... i'm still a newb...


what about silent auctions...? like, i wouldn't know how much people would want to pay for my OEGB birds... but each one can be numbered with some sort of tag or something, there could be a sheet somewhere near them that you can write down your name and bid... and tada... start then at a buck, and if people don't want them, they don't have to bid... after the meet or whatever you can pick them up... or maybe after a certain amount of time... that would be cool i wouldn't mind auctioning off some of my birds or even eggs... well, we can have a table setup for this... if anyone else is interested, let me know and i'll take printed papers for this... if not, i'll just take a note book... LOL...
