Sadly, I missed out on the beautiful Brown Leghorn (the loudmouth from MarchandPeeps). I hear she went to Sabrina.... YAY! That's a very good home. I got 3 Marans pullets and a roo from Shuizar at the April meet up and they're doing great. We couldn't get to the park til just after 2pm, but we were in time to meet Michelle and her son (I'm sorry I don't remember his name). Welcome to the group!

They look good Dennis...both of the hens look like cocopop hens (dun gene carrier). You should single mate them and see who produce what for you unless you know which egg come from which hen. They should produce some nice offsprings just watch the legs length and color. If I have to pick one of the two, I will take the blue wheaten hen.....she has the right legs color (yellow legs), nice high tail and good chest...good combination for a male line. Your other hen looks exactly like mine, she is a chocolate ginger that is what they call it. The only thing I don't like about her is her legs color. I can't wait to see what they produce for you.

Pics of dad and mom of Whitii and DD, I found it in my old file. I thought you might want to know your bird's back ground.
Mom at 4 months old, as you can see she has long legs.

Dad was molting at 6 months old, you can clearly see the father and son resemblance with DD.

This is my chocolate ginger, she is the offspring from cocopop x silver ginger.

What kind of feed are you feeding them??? Don't tell me you feed them game bird food.....you need to put them on 16% protein food to keep their size, comb and wattles mall.

I was feeding them some mix food with pellets but now i switched to the purina pigeon food.
