Sweet! but i would still need to get a long leg hen correct?? to get the long leg gene.

I would of wait to see what the hens produce for me first before I buy anything unless I stumble on something really good that is if I were you.....use selective line breeding method to improve your flock as you go.

I'm Patty that you met at the meet. Hi!

An "official" Hi nice to meet you Patty! I thought that you were onthespot. You came late to the april 30th meet so by then my brain was swimming in names & faces so I did not connect the two. I'm jealous now that Chef Glenn got to visit your set-up and I didn't

Next time for sure!

Yeah, it is a very cool setup, from re-purposed almost everything. Just set it up in Oct/Nov, and will likely tear it all down later on this year because I will be moving to the Virgin Islands...

about tearing it all down,

about the virgin islands. I will also be placing most off my flocks with people willing to keep them and send me eggs later. Anyone want dibs on any of my flocks, PM me... won't be for a few months still. I should put that in my sigline...

Sadly, I missed out on the beautiful Brown Leghorn (the loudmouth from MarchandPeeps). I hear she went to Sabrina.... YAY! That's a very good home. I got 3 Marans pullets and a roo from Shuizar at the April meet up and they're doing great. We couldn't get to the park til just after 2pm, but we were in time to meet Michelle and her son (I'm sorry I don't remember his name). Welcome to the group!

i would totally say MEMEMEMEME... but living in los angeles, my chickens are already illegal... i wouldn't want to end up losing someone else's flock a long with mine...*KNOCK ON WOOD*

If we end up being able to move to the farm we have put in an application for, I could easily take some and have a very nice set-up for them.

that would be great. Don't be afraid to be greedy either. I'd just as soon place them all in one place as place them all over creation. How long till you find out if you get the farm?
