Southern CA Swap meet-up / Funday!

It was actully very enjoyable watching that little guy hatched he called me right when it was about to and he was talking about how he though sunny gave us quail eggs it was so tiny compared to the little buff silkie chick it hatched with.

what day did it hatch... a lot of my OEGB chicks hatch out at day 19... i think i'm going to start incubating them 2 days late... like serama or quails... i put in quail/serama eggs in at day three... i should do the same for OEGB... i thought my incubator was just too hot, but after using two different bators, they just hatch early... eggs are just too tiny...

they hatch on day 18 supposedly... i've never incubated any.... but i have two on lock down right now... so hopefully i'm right... LOL... i don't see a pip, but the quails just did... WEEE!!!...

no... it starts 3 days earlier... so day 16...? one serama is halfway out right now, so i guess my timing was pretty good... but i'm hoping all 40something eggs hatch... woo hoo... hatching is so addicting and exciting...

Thank you Renee!! I've had young chicks before, but none of them actually came from birds that I raised myself. Its really special.

I got out of bed twice last night to check on "it". If its a girl, I can make a place for it, if its a boy, it will have to be sold, or given away. I have 5 roosters in a tiny backyard.... I'm at my "boy" limit.
