Southern Essence is closed ****UNTIL SEPT 21st****

KK, if you happen to read this then we all know that Lloyd hasn't stopped yet. Make sure you tell him hi from all of us at BYC. Second, you need to do what you need to do as far as pricing goes. You've got good quality, now you just need to make more quantity. I know my candle orders are on the rise as well. I'm going to be ordering some soaps from you after you get back up and running on the 21st. Trying and attempting to get ahead of the holidays this year.

Just know that we will be thinking about you while you're gone. And don't get soap in your eyes either.

So we should just go to your site on Sept 21st to order?

Yeah, I'll post on here to remind everyone to when I'm back up and running.

And don't get soap in your eyes either.

I'm not worried about the soap, I'm worried about the lye.

Still waiting for Lloyd.

I think your prices are cheap. I pay $6 or a little more from the place I bought my soaps from. So I would say raise them some people will still buy them. Then you might be able to expand and hire some more help!!! That way you have more time for your chickens and BYC.

We have been using suave shampoo for showering with, but I wouldn't mind finding another soap that was good for people who have issues being allergic to most if not all commercial soaps.

Also what is Oatmeal/Almond good for?

What are the skin care benefits of oatmeal?

Oatmeal is a natural skin protectant and one of the few natural ingredients recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to help soothe and relieve minor skin irritations.

Of course our mothers, grandmothers, and the ancient healers recognized the wonderful properties of oatmeal long before there was a FDA.

The Healing Power of Oats

Oats have a long history of being valued for skin care. As early as 2000 BC, the Arabians and Egyptians used oats to beautify the skin. The ancient Greeks and Romans also documented the use of “oat baths” to heal skin ailments. That’s because the multiple benefits of natural oats include moisturization, cleansing, and soothing relief of dry, itchy skin.

Relieves dry skin: Oatmeal milled into an ultra-fine powder will adhere to surface irritants, which can then be gently rinsed away, promoting relief. .
Soothes itchy, irritated skin: Colloidal oatmeal provides temporary skin protection and relieves minor itching and irritation due to rashes, eczema, poison ivy/oak/sumac, and insect bites.
Soothes extra dry, irritated skin: Colloidal oatmeal combined with menthol, shea butter and other skin protectants has been clinically proven to relieve itchy, extra dry, and cracked skin.
Moisturizes skin: Oat proteins leave a protective barrier on the skin, which prevents water loss to help maintain moisture.

Someone had asked me if I could make a soap called Pink Sugar. I CAN!!! My regular supplier has the fragrance oil so I'm going to put an order in for it and when my site is back up you'll see it there.
