Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

If you can get a few people together it is the best way to buy feed. You should be able to get a group set up close to you to give it a go. I know in Queens, NY they do have a co-op kind of thing going.

I'd be interested in organic feed such Countryside Organics soy free. If we could get a distributor in the area to coordinate, count me in.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're just a victim of chicken math.

People that are guilty of chicken math never blame themselves.

Hi! Chicken newbie here, I'm in Westchester county. One of those chicken renegades that may or may not be legal, but at least my neighbors don't mind.

We lost our speckled Sussex last week and I'm hoping to find one or two new hens in the spring.
Any breeders near me? I'm looking for friendly birds with no health issues more than anything else.

My husband and I also just saw Food, Inc the same day we had to put down Perry Katie and it really hit hard. We are trying to live an unprocessed food life and it's already proving difficult with our preschoolers.

Welcome to the thread! I want to get a Speckled Sussex in the Spring also. And a Silver Laced Wyandote and maybe a Buff Orpington. And my daughter just loved the White Crested Polish. And maybe a Barred Holland... Oops I think the limit will be a thing of the past in 2012.
