geez......i get to planting my garden and voila! I miss a lot.
I want my snowcone silkie to get broody roberta so i can order some of your eggs. i am going through peep withdrawl this year.:<( 3 chickens does not a full flock make.

Suzanne, i need some weeding done, oh and I'd like the playroom toys to finally be organized - any chance you'd take off work to come by and garden for me?! I'll pay you in cookies.

The girls did the weeding. I'm doing planting!

We already converted two of our friends to chicken people. One is Bobby's friend Peter. He had chickens a while back but lost them to a raccoon attack. He has two of Roberta's birds, and the three chicks that we got from chickensforbackyards.com. His kids love the chicks - they are going to be very people friendly hens! The other convert is my friend Kelly's husband. We sat with them at a Fire Dept. function and got to talking about chickens. Next thing I know Vito's got a coop built and 6 chicks from Agway. Kelly almost stopped speaking to me!

I'd love it if my brother in Buffalo got chickens. He really wants to, but his wife is worried about predators. They have a big piece of property and already keep bees. I know they'd both love the chickens. I was hoping pictures of our new mega-run would allay their fears about foxes, etc.

I keep thinking my cousin's boyfriend will become a chicken guy too. He's a DEC agent and loves wildlife - especially birds. He was raised in VA - a real country boy. They have a good backyard for a coop, too. But so far she says no. She's actually the one who gave me Gladys, which is how the whole thing got started for me. They have a friend named Abby who has silkies, I think, and is a member of BYC. Anyone know her?

Good morning; What if we all meet at Roberta's booth at 12:30. Everyone makeup a name tag with your BYC name on it.

Then we can go for a quick lunch.

When I went up to my sister's this past weekend ,her and her husband were saying that they wanted chickens. BAD IDEA... I didn't say anything 'cause I didn't want them to get PO at me. He work's in the city ,takes the train early in the morning and doesn't get home till very late and she is an administrator with the post office and works crazy hours. They have my niece in all kind of activities so I think the chickens would be neglected.Everyone was waiting for them at church for the communion (even the priest) cause they were 15 minutes late.

Abi Bengel? That's where I got my paint Silkies from. She is "Abengel", and she is friends with Jeanett, "Lichick28"
I'm not sure exactly who will go to Sussex, as there is a grandbaby supposed to be born any minute, but we will be meeting someone new Saturday!
The world is getting smaller!
Maggie, you need to get a few more peeps to be in our club. Three is unacceptable

Yes, we need to meet up!

Sounds fun! I hope to get some breaks during the day....
Maybe I'll sell out in the morning, and can leave the table alone for the rest of the day. HAH!
Got to finish my table cover, paid more for the fabric than the table.
But it has chickens on it!
Roberta, I'll make you a flyer if you can't get to it, just email all the info. The only thing you'll need to do is print them out. Let me know…

Yes roberta, 3 is totally unexceptableby my standards...... and i am ashamed of myself . what an example I set...

..........but maybe someone will go broody soon and I have my fingers crossed.

Oh what a night I had. All the chickens are fine, but my oldest son had his spring concert, and man, it's was an eventful event! The first thing that kept us entertained for the evening was one girl....her eyebrows moved up, down, and side to side with each word she sang. My daughter and her boyfriend started laughing, and, well, it became infectious. My husband was laughing, and I thought they were being rude, until I noticed. It was very funny.
I asked my son about it, he said she does it to be funny, and it worked!! She's got a heck of a gift!!

Next thing was the boy next to my son, who is a close friend of his, told my son he was really sweating. Next thing you know-he passed out!! it was horribly scary, apparently he overheated, and just fainted. he was up in about a minute, being helped out-he did hit his head on the grand piano, so I think he went for a concussion baseline.

The final and best part of the show...my older son was singing "What a wonderful world" and I looked over at my youngest-he was doing the song in SIGN LANGUAGE!! He's learning it in 1st grade, and sat there signing the whole song. He's a precious boy. I'll share what I taped if I can figure it out.

What a night. Whew.
