Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

I got up this morning to check on the babies and would up staying up for awhile. I finished planting the new corner.

And since I'm not good at hatching chicks, I'm sticking to crocheting them...

I need to work on the design. Not happy with the shape of the body.

And last but not least, the new chicks:

What a great job you did, looks beautiful! I love your chick design, can you make into pillow covers? I'd buy one for sure!

And my what cute chicks you have. Love their coloring!!!

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful....I love the filet crochet. I went to my class Thurs night and you should see me trying to crochet with my finger in a bandaged splint... Just not happening.Especially since I've only crochet once before about 2 years ago..

Had my first salad out of the garden last night, man was it good.

My Mass chicks have started jumping on top of their waterer and pooping in it. They really want to come out and play. Maybe in a couple days I'll put them in the "cozy coop" and let them in the yard. They are looking pretty funny with fuss/new feathers.

OK guys talk me down from this. There's a woman on a cattle dog thread and her dog just had puppies. I want one soooo bad. Tell me I'm nuts...

How do you think I feel? I have to go to a wedding in Manhattan this morning. I hear peeping inside incubator #1.
I looks like some dumbass put eggs in, and didn't write down when they were supposed to hatch.
They are still in the turner.

Nice work! Could I order one of your little free standing peeps? I need one for my collection.:<)
Adorable babies. Don't feel bad. incubating is very stressfull. I've had only 2 100% hatches and it felt like a miracle. Then in 3 bators out of 120 eggs only 40 or so hatched. It really in my experience is shipping-packing/humidity related. Basememts for me are the best places to hatch because of the unchanging barometer/temps/humidity as compared to heat/air conditioned floors.

Anybody go to the Stormville flea market? We went early this morning picked up a few things and was done by 1130.
Here are a few pics of the roos yesterday heading to freezer camp, my daughter was traumatized. But she got over it. also note to self, don't butcher chickens on hot and humid days. Feathers stick to everything.
