Carolyn, you don't act or think like those OLD PEOPLE.
You are sharper than most kids nowadays.
Hmm now that I typed that, I'm not sure that was a compliment. I hope you get what I mean.
And my little piece of paper is a full size sheet, and it's full!

Very confusing. First there's a user name, and then the real name, and then the e-mail address is another spot in my brain that there really is't much room for extra stuff.

I have a hard time keeping track of everyone with all the avatars, userids and emails. Seems like this thread has become a "support group" for chicken lovers and it would be nice to know who is who. Why don't we consider putting faces to names? We could each take a picture of ourselves with a chicken and share it with this group via PM. I'll drag my husband out to the coop later to take a photo. But for now, I'll start a PM with a couple of photos that I previously posted on this thread.

It does seem that we have lost our male counterparts, on this thread and if they are still lurking we can include them also...

How did you miss Howlinggood -Donna, your partner in crime
There is also Jeanette can't remember her avatar she went to the show in NJ she lives in Commack.

Went to the Brooklyn Flea today. They were also having a holiday craft show. Very neat place just the view of the city was worth the trip.
Food venders were also great.
Suzanne have I ever told you about the flea market at the Bellmore train station? Stopped there before heading to Brooklyn. It's a nice little weekly market.
I have to do these things when my husband isn't home 'cause he never wants to go.

Ok, so, I did it. I finally processed 6 of my roosters. I thought I would have a hard time, I thought I would feel bad, I thought it would be a big hassle. Nope, nope, and nope. We set up a very efficient layout for getting this job done. One of the roosters got away though and went for a long run in the woods before coming back and getting caught (he came back because I had finally let the hens out). He is now back in the tractor, because we had already cleaned up, so he gets a bit of a reprieve. I gave half of them to my uncle for helping me do the processing (and because they are hurting right now).

If anyone ever wants to process together, just let me know. I am definately ordering meaties in the spring.

Jeanett is LIchick.
Vera never comes on, because my mouth is big enough for the two of us, DirtyDozen.
They both breed Silkies.

I have 25 Meaties right now. I'm terrified of them. They are vicious, nasty, and man-eating I'm sure of it. Remember the velociraptors from Jurassic Park? yeah-that's them. I won't miss them in a couple of weeks. Cleaning their pen? I need a drink afterwards. These are not sweet laying birds. A drink and band aids.
