Ive had a lopt of hatchery ees and didn't know they laid blue eggs? All mine and my friends birds only had shades fron pale tinted pinky pastel colors to light greens.

My aruacanas laid nice true blue eggs.

my spellng stinks. My nails get in the way on my little laptop I think. Time fore a trim!

My EasterEgger gave us beautiful light blue eggs and my Auracana gave us mint green eggs. Both of those hens are long gone now, but I saved the empty shell of each of their first eggs.

I gaze at those empty eggs every now and then. My current Delaware gives us eggs that are a light pink in color.

Identity crisis?

Heather I am SO happy Nutmeg was just hiding. Poor little girl, she will need lots of mealies to make her feel better!! (That's what my girls tell me)

I'm going to put a small incubator on my christmas list-I think if nothing else, I can hatch a few here and there, and I know the kids will be loving the whole thing. Besides, other than my pressure canner (birthday) food mill, and Dickens Firehouse, I can't think of much else that I want.

Well here is hoping my 1 ee who is 4 months old now pops out blue eggs! I was reading that the daddy breed makes a big difference in the egg colop and perhaps thats why some do and some don't.

Hi everybody, I am traveling downstate tomorrow for a couple of weeks. Gonna drive a truck for the red cross. They said a cube truck, so if you see one of those, give it a wide berth, and wave! Don't know where exactly Im being sent, she said maybe the island, which I took as LI, but then maybe it's SI. Guess it's on a need to know basis, and perhaps I don't need to know? May be staying in a shelter for volunteers, so camping experience will come in handy.
