My husband has been growing his own sprouts for years. He puts them in this concoction he makes every morning. I use them ontop of salads. They are great. With some varieties it does smell like you just cut the lawn and dumped it in my kitchen though.

Yummy I love sprouts on salads and in sandwiches.

Maggie, I love sprouts also...and my hubby is wondering why I'm doing this for the birds and not us! lol Carol, does your hubby have anything he would recommend that I try sprouting?

Howdy to Rosie from me please.

It is so darn frigid down here this morning. But at least the sun is shining and the howling winds have diminished..
They were suppopsed to finally get my roof ripped off and replaced yet again beginning today....but the weather isn't co-operating. Too cold and wet lately. sigh...............so aggravating living for weeks and weeks with all of my "attic storage" spread through out the house. I am happy my home is intact though, so I'm not really complaining.
I am in the mood to purge lately. And I mean PURGE. Come on spring!

I am getting 6 eggs a day from 7 hens so life is good.

He gets all his sprouting seed from this place called The Sprout House.a number of varieties. Has at least 5 types going in different stages at any one time.
Hot mixtures - arugula, brown mustard ,radish
Another one has red cabbage,broccoli,mustard,
One with large seeds like garbanzo beans,peas,lentils,sunflower
He has been doing this a long time
Give me a good cheese burger and fries anyway.

Had me one of those Delux burgers Sat. night at our favorite tavern. Oh that was so good....and good cole slaw is something I could eat everyday.

Today I am making strawberry Jam and making believe it's warm out.

Maggie you are so cute! I have my Easter decorations out trying to push spring. Bator going in lock down mode Tuesday & looks like I'll have chicks in the house for a while with this freezing weather. Winds howling like crazy all night
