My girls are doing well and most days the last 2 weeks or so I am gettiong 4 of 4. They must be happy chickens.

Hi Maggie, yup, it feels great to see them producin'. Trying to keep them as happy as possible. Glad to hear yours are in full egg mode too. Now, how the heck to we get rid of all these eggs? Lots of friends are going to be happy.

Boy, is it ever humid here too. We keep moving from A/C house to A/C car and A/C store. It's the walk between that's the toughest.

Have a great day. Stay cool!

I hear your humidity pain. I am ready for fall which I actually do love best of all. Today my tomatoes are beginning to look redder than yesterday. I will have some bumper crop all at once I bet. Need to put some up for the winter months is my plan.

I accidently planted 2 watermelon plants (thinking it was spomething else) and those buggers are spreading put over a LARGE part of my yard. I now I see many watermelons have developed!
At the price they cost right now....... I am a happy camper thinking I might not have to buy them in a few more weeks.

This year we planted Heirloom tomatoes and some Roma tomatoes. The Brandywine Heirlooms are very tasty.

Glad you got watermelons to grow. Never had any luck ourselves with watermelons, but we've tried. Got only one last year that was the size of a baseball. Last year, the Squash got ruined with vine borers, Cantaloupe flowered but did not set fruit. This year we did get garlic, onions, tomatoes, cabbage and a bumper crop of lettuce. We did not tend too much to the garden this year as the chickens took up most of the time with coop and run building and, just sitting there looking at them.

Still way to humid up here. Raining, hot and nasty out tonight.

Did anyone else get to enjoy that down pour yesterday evening and early this morning? I had an empty blue berry pail that had close to 4" on water in it this morning.

Enjoy your day

Us too. The covered run was even drenched this morning from the runoff water that got into it. Glad for every drop too. Tomorrow is supposed to be an outstanding day. Enjoy!

It doesn't get much better than this. Blues skies, gentle breezes, dry but warm weather. How sweet it is!

Going to let the girls free range a bit. Glad I took today off.

Yaaaa! I finally found where I need to be!!! Silly rookie. I am in Ridge, and am all talked out. Not going to repeat myself, besides I am at work and have a 4 day old peachick nestled under my neck on my desk. WOW she is driving me crazy.... ok, I subscribed to this string. I am completely computer stoopid, so will go bye bye. Hope to finally meet you all.... after my peachick is more occupied with something other than ME!
