Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

Next month, there are always sales cages at the shows. Look up a Harbor Freight, or, better yet, get Bobby into a Tractor Supply store. Now THAT would be a good trip for him! There are some in Ct, I brought Vera into one last month, we both had a blast!

How about a really nice silkie with a top knot so big it cant see whats in front of its face? Harbor Freight is coming to Commack on Vets Hwy. not really sure when but store sign up already. What show are you going to next month Roberta? Maybe if I double up on meds I can go. I want a paint silkie so bad

Yeah, me too. I got a few hatching eggs from Kate at Golden egg farms last month, so now I have Silkies in with my Marans chicks.
I have entered 5 Marans, 3 Silkies, and a Shamo.
Talk to me about these meds, are you falling apart like me?
My car is full, but we may have an extra bed if you want to stay over.
Or, I just may have to take the "manly van", the list of entry, sale, and pick-up-cause-I-really-want-more is getting bigger!
We are trying to talk Suzanne's BF into going, but she is bribing him with the Yankee candle factory tour.

Chicks don't count anyway. And if they look alike, they don't count. And let's face it. Most people don't know silkies and polish are really chickens, so they won't count either.

Harbor Freight is also coming to Huntington. Same deal. Store's not open yet, but sign is up. Bobby gazes lovingly at the site every time we drive by.

He's actually coming out to Hampton Bays with me in the morning so we can go to Riverhead Agway together after that.

The chicken show is actually the bribe to get him to go to Yankee Candle with me.

Oh wait. If you live next to a wildlife preserve, that doesn't count as a neighbor, so you can actually double your limit. And of course with the hawks around, you'll need a few backup chickens.

Trust me. I'm a teacher. I can do math.

yes this all sounds true AND
Some of them are on the critical and threatened watch list.
So... I should be allowed as many of those as I want cause
I'm helping keep them from eggstinction !

My only issue now is day old chicks or fertile eggs?
I really want to try and hatch some chicks. The darn eggs are as much
as a chick. I would need like 4 eggs of each type cause some won't hatch
and some will be Roos and then I have to re-home the Roos

and any extra hens
Blah.

I need to think.

Thats a little too far for me Roberta. We drive to car auctions every weds, thurs & friday from NJ Maryland then Pa. At the end of the week I dont know where the heck I am. Did you get paint eggs. Does Eddie Travers still breed silkies. He's in Taunton Ma. I think its about an hour from Springfield ma. He had beautiful birds but havent spoken to him in years
