Hello Everyone; If you need help w/ your chickens after the surgery I could swing by and give you a hand(bad choice of words) Once the lab I worked at in Plainview moved to St. Louis I retired . At least don't work at a job where I receive a 1099 at the end if the year. I lived in Ithaca and would move back up there in a minute. Once when my son was little we brought him up there for a visit . As we were passing several farms he wanted to know " What that smell was?" I turned to him and said "That's Nature" Several hours later he turns to me and says with the truest Long Island accent-"Have ya had enough natua yet?? I just wanted to die. Right then and there I new he was a Long Islander and I better start loving it.(No I don't want to hurt anyones feelings, but I was born to dig in the dirt; and unfortunately I can't live out on the North Fork. Carol
thanks for all the well wishes everyone. I'm home and resting although not too comfortably. I have this huge bulky sling. And they gave me a nerve block, so my arm is completely dead and will be for a few more hours. lots of nonsense this morning that delayed things. they let me use the phone though and once i chewed a few people out things started rolling. anyway, no pain yet but the happy pills are standing by...
Thanks, Rich. Hope things go well at the ortho for you. Looks like most this flock has broken wings.Hey Al, I see you are online. Sorry to hear you aren't feeling the best.
i took the happy pill when the block started to wear off. i'm not in a lot of pain and i hate the way the drugs make me feel so i'll probably stick to regular tylenol without the codeine.A friend that had the same surgery told me his doc told him to take the happy pills before the block wore off. This way way you won't have to wait for meds to kick in and give you relief. I will see my Orthopedic guy on Tue. I hope I don't need surgery. I also heard to follow all the way through with the physical therapy. It is a huge part of your recovery and success of not re injuring it. Well I wish you the best with the pain and also a complete and full recovery.
