Beyond cute!

Well, it isn't meat, but it isn't supposed to be one of the four main food groups either. So wish that it was. A friend of mine just went on a no-carb diet for two weeks and lost 6 lbs but I can't even commit to one day without sugar or flour.

Bobby and I went a long time on strict lo-carb/no-carb. We lost tons of weight. I just felt so much better - sugar is a problem for me. Physically as well as mentally. I've put back so much weight - I can't stand the way I look and feel. Mostly feel.

I've been good lately about the sugar thing, although the carbs are still an issue. I was going through a real sugar obsession after I had my surgery - I think it was finding out about my job. Lately, the blood sugar drops, depression and general fatigue have convinced me to lay off. It helps.

My girls seem to be handling confinement pretty well. They have lots to play with. I'm still getting 5-6 eggs a day from the 6 of them, so I guess they weren't too tramautized.

Good news: the kitten doesn't have worms. His eye is still bothering him and he's still sneezing, tho. Gonna give him another flea bath tonight. I think the fleas are giving him an allergic reaction.

I finally spread the grass seed in the backyard. After all the foul-weather gardening yesterday, it was nice to be out in the sun. The ground is nice and damp and they're predicting a shower tonight. That would be ideal to set the seed. Bobby thinks I'm crazy - there's only spotty sunlight back there, but I'm determined. He's going to trim some tree branches, and I'm just going to keep adding more and more seed until we have a lush green backyard that will be impervious to chickens.

So what time should I plan on getting to the show? What time does it start? Roberta, would love to stop by and see you, where will you be? Suzanne, do you want to ride with me and my friend Laurie? She and I have been talking about going to a chicken show for a long time and I think this Saturday is it finally!

What's the total of the people that are going to be there on this thread?

Highpoint- depends on what breeds they are. Feather footed birds get messy alot quicker.
Clean legged birds should be OK, you can just give their feet a rinse before you pack them up.
And then, there is the bird that has to roll in poop at the least convenient time. I have a few of those.

Coop in has to be before 9am. That just means your bird must be in the cage by then.
I will try to get there around 7-7:30 ish, to set up my table.

It is screaming bright yellow, with chickens all over it. Pretty hard to miss.
But I still don't know where they will tell me to set up.
