Hehe Its a good thing that I dont have my full license yet... i would be visiting every tractor supply in 60 miles on a daily basis =] lol... I actually prefer a family own feed store called Farmside Supplies... They are friendlier, their chicks are healthier, and their feed is fresher and cheaper lol =]

It was so nice to meet you, I have to say you are one of the more awesome teenagers I have had the pleasure of hanging out with lately, and I really hope that you stay in touch with all us chicken ladies even when you head off to college.

We are actually thinking of naming her charmine, as in the toilet paper brand, because she is so soft =] Charmine Ultra-soft Blair... I LIKE IT lol... Thanks for the compliment.. Most other teenagers think I am pretty weird actually lol, So it means alot me to hear that =]

Suzanne, here's two things I have in the shadiest part of my yard, ferns and sweet woodruff. Not a ground cover but it's an alternative to Hostas to break things up:

I'm still waiting for things to fill in, experimenting with various things The other plant that worked was a hellebore flower. Also just moved my mountain laurel bushes over there and they are much happier in that spot than full sun.

Like you even more now. Have you thought about Westpoint though? Free and it's college. Just sayin'

And by the way, being considered weird as a teenager is a good thing, trust me. I was - am - the weirdo kid that was in all AP classes and listening to death metal on the weekends. Long story short, I ended up with an Ivy League degree, big career, etc, etc, and now in my new phase of life and totally happy. Dreamers make things happen.
