Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

Cute. Still no pips that I can see. Arg.
I second that Arg.

Okay, so let's recap:

First hatch, only 1 survivor or 5 viable eggs (Lavender Orpington).

Second hatch, only 1 survivor of 5 viable eggs (White Orpington), Currently 2 pipped but not hatched and one rocking but not pipped (Light Sussex).

If anyone hears me talking about hatching more eggs, please come to my house and beat me with a big stick until I stop. Apparently, of all the things in life I am good at, incubating eggs is not one of them.

I do not like hatching eggs. I do not like it, Sam I Am.

How do you think I feel? I have to go to a wedding in Manhattan this morning. I hear peeping inside incubator #1.
I looks like some dumbass put eggs in, and didn't write down when they were supposed to hatch.
They are still in the turner.

Roberta, it's gonna be one of those days. Hang in there.

She's a really cute chick. I said "she" to be optimistic for ya.

Thanks. Given that she's the only White Orpington to hatch, I've got my fingers crossed. But since I only got one Lavender Orpington also, what are the odds that both "sole survivors" will be female.

Two of the Light Sussex hatched in the middle (and I mean middle) of the night. I had gotten up to check and one was ready to go. So I waited to see the other. Fortunately I was only up from about 3:30 - 6:00. (Sarcasm intended).

But the two LS chicks are cute together in the "Hoverbator". I moved the WO into the brooder because she was getting to close to the heating element.

I'd offer to incubator sit for you, but apparently I am the Angel of Death to hatching eggs.

I'd find that dumbass and give her a good talking to!
