I have no plans for this week, and I'm feeling it. Idle hands are the devil's workshop, indeed. I spent a little time sitting outside with the girls this morning. I love watching them. And Clara walks around from group to group, hoping they'll let her join in.

Maybe I need a puppy...

suzanne I should be having some EE from the hatch I did the the first week in June.They were beautiful blue/green eggs when they arrived.I got them from someone on here. I will get some photos today. they are having the time of their lives running around my back yard.

Just got home from my trip to NJ, brought Jersy Hen her
new babies. My little ones are feasting on their treats, thanks!
Wow I love tractor supply, so many different brands of feed.
My mom insisted on buying a 50# bag of cracked corn. I told
her its like ice cream to chickens and not to over do it, haha
I know she's gonna give them too much. Oh well I'm gonna
have fat spoiled rotten birds.

We just love the new babies. They are out with the rest of the flock now (in a separate area with the other babies though) and that little roo is something else. He is already trying to be head guy. So cute. He looks like an eagle. I will post pictures tomorrow (I have been ill, so not on here since last week). The little wyandotte has become everyone's underdog favorite. She hangs out on my shoulder all day long and nuzzles into my hair (or anyone else's who might be available for a cuddle). She is my daughters favorite now and she is begging to make her a house chicken...lol. She named her "nugget". There is no such thing as a spoiled chicken...

There's a gal in my facebook thread. She has a few pet quality Silkies. Alot of pullets. She is here on BYC as PamB. She is in CT if you guys are interested....

I am very interested in some pet quality silkies. Should I PM her?

She is in Dayville, CT 06241. I sent a note to her asking how is the best way to get in touch with each other.

I really am living up to my name. Vera has a crapload of babies, and she is much closer.
They are younger... between 1-2 months. Mostly splash and blue.
And she has been on the Sussex thread on fb, are you a member there?
If not let me know, will get you in. Just have to message Mame1616 (Mary, you know her)
And it looks like I will be taking a road trip sometime soon... I can deliver.

You guys?!! Stop posting all these adorable pics of silkies! I can't take it. When will I get my lil fluff ball? I can't sneak anymore in, or I'll get in trouble with the boss and the neighbors.

This heat just stinks, I don't know what I'm going to do with them tomorrow. Would it be crazy if I dumped a bag of grocery store ice into a plastic tub bin for them?

It is opressive here today and the humidity is the problem. Had dh's car in the shop and had to drive it almost 60 miles before some thing would reset itself and we cou;ld then inspect it. OHGAWD..........in this stinkin traffic. Had I know earlier I would have taken a road trip!!!!!!!!!!

I went to mame1616 home in NJ once! She was kind enough to bring home some chicks for me from a swap/meeting she went to a few years back. Mary is a really nice person.
