Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

What a great afternoon...Carolyn, thank you very much.we definitely need to get together on a regular basis.
Carolyn if you ever need anything , I'm only a half hour away.

Roberta, how did it go with Doc Brown? We were thinking of you yesterday and hoping for the best.

Christine, how did the police report go? Its got to be hard to do and wrap your head around-considering they live right next door. Big, well trained, mean looking dog. My shepherd is a big ball of mush, but she sure looks terrifying! We were thinking of you too. Big hugs!!

Carolyn, your coop setup is so awesome, I was trying to describe it to my husband over the phone. I'm going to show him pictures when he gets up, so he can fully appreciate it. The picture window in the playhouse is incredible. Just a great place for happy birdies!

Yes, indeed, we all had a fine ole time together. I can't believe how quickly it all happened. The idea of meeting, then the actual decision to meet and then TA-DA... it happend.

Great afternoon. Yummy food, beautiful house plant, softly beautiful crocheted dishcloths, a perfect glass chicken figurine. And the food you brought; so good: the tuna salad, the mixed grains & greens salad, the pumpkin butter, the banana bread with chocolate bits, the cheesy wafers, and the chicken pot pie!!!! Y'all have golden hands and giving hearts.

I found a small ziplock bag of Jerusalem artichokes. Did you mean to leave them behind? Are they for planting in the flower garden or the vegetable garden?

Can someone please tell me the backyardchickensdotcom screen names that go with each of your real names?
And I can't wait to see the photos of the whole bunch of us out in the yard. You're all such a great bunch of outstanding women. Great conversation, down to earth real sharing of ideas and stories of family and friends and life.

Thanks for a great day together!! And for you all driving that huge long way over here.

Roberta, hope you survived the ordeal of yesterday's work with your chickens, the culling, the vaccinating, etc. When I think of the sheer numbers of feathery critters that you're caring for, it stuns the mind!

Did you manage to get it all done? Keep us in the loop. We are so hoping for a good outcome for your flock. And for you to be able to take a breather from all the work involved in getting them safely through the sickness.

-Carolyn
