Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

Glad y'all had a fun day! Who is who in the pics? I know Carol is on the right...
Top photo: Donna, Suzanne, Rosie, Heather, Carol.

Bottom photo: Suzanne, Carolyn, Rosie, Heather, Carol.

I'm pretty sure that I got the names right. It was Donna's camera; she took one photo and I used her camera and took the other photo. So she's in one of the shots and I'm in the other.

Somebody please tell me the backyardchicken screen names for these gals. I've got some of them figured out, I think, but want to be sure.

Sorry guys, the stress has made me go into survival mode.
Somehow I can't relax or have fun when that happens.
I get the impression there was no zoo? I may have been able to do just Carolyns, but I still feel dirty.
And I vaccinated myself against Mareks about 4 times.
Funny where that needle can end up when they start flapping!
I gave one Silkie boy a stay of execution. He's in the house, infecting everything there.
I'll give him some time, he doesn't seem to be suffering. Yet.
And I'll be picking up a gimp from a friend in CT later on this week, another Silkie with a bad leg.
It's either my house, or a "trip to the farm" which will result in death.
Thanks for you all thinking of me.It means alot.
The holidays coming up puts me into a funk that won't be over until New Years.
And my RA Gets really bad in the cold weather. I'm starting to feel it already.

Suzanne-SMKchick, Donna-Howlinggood, Carol-Queenchick16 Heather-imprfctme and Rosie-Cheeky Chick. (I'm still wondering where I got that from...)

Hey Rosie, are those avatar pictures of yours your pictures? Saw them on Twitter just now and wasn't sure you knew.

I'm probably going to change it to a picture of one of my girls. Probably May since she's my baby. (ok, biggest chicken I have but sweet like a puppy)

I do like the kitten and chick though-total sweetness.

I'm sorry you're going through this!! I get the same way, if something's not right, I can't relax. It doesn't help that it then interrupsts my sleep so I get tired and stressed. I hope all your babies get better!

And just think, we know you won't get Mareks. One less thing to worry about! It's supposed to be rather mild, but chilly this week. I think. As of 10 minutes ago...

if you need anything, let me know!

Carolyn, Thanks again. In the photo from left to right-Howlinggood, smkchick, Cheeky chick,Imprfctme and me queenchick16. You were right on with are names.
The Jerusalem artichokes should be put in a large container for next years crop.
Don't put them in your yard or garden. They are extremely invasive. There are some very neat recipes floating around the Internet.
They taste similar to a potatoe only slightly sweet. Carol

Thanks, Rosie.
But unfortunately, there are like 5 different strains of Mareks.
And the only vaccine available protects against against only one strain, the Turkey Herpes virus.
And I thought this was going to be easy!
The more I find out, the less fun this is.

I'm sorry. I'll be thinking of you, and saying a little prayer for you and your flock.

I'm more worried about infecting everyone else. It's spread thru feather dander.
My entire world is loaded with dander.
sigh.
