I may have Serama pairs for sale at the Greenville show. I already have a "pet" roo to rehome; his comb is folded over, so it looks dubbed!

Really pretty black tailed buff otherwise.

Meetings in this area would be nice.

Well i just got a cute cockerel from Mandy today. Hes sitting here with me now. He wouldnt sleep in the cage so brought him to the computer area since its darker but he still wont sleep. Hes super cute and i think he might love me already ready. I opened the cage to bring him back here and he just walked right on out

So i will be needing to get him 2 girls of about the same age, not sure exactly what that is but he still eats chick starter. He also doesnt stand like a serama yet so i guess i'll try working on it everyday and see if we get anywhere. I'll post pics tomorrow.

These guys are used to going to bed around 11 or so. It might take him a little while to settle down and bond with you. He was hatched on 1/24 so he's a little over 2 months old.
This is his mom

and this is his dad

Mandy- Do you think he'll look like his dad. You said at your house that he might be the pattern of your roo but darker. I forgot to ask, do u think he'll be size Class a or b?
I sure do love the little guy a lot even though ive only had him for a few hours

I love the baby pic. He was doing the same thing earlier that hes doing in the baby pic, pecking at food.

It's still hard to tell what he is going to look like. He will molt and change colors again. Should be a B class. I'm glad you like him

Since you brought it up,I was thinking the same thing. I am just glad I did not have to drive to far to go to it.I think the wet cold weather must of kept a lot of people away.

Welcome to you also RR!

I hope you'll consider joining the club. I was explaining to someone the other day that since joining is FREE! you can belong to the club and stay in touch with members through the site and then call for meetings to be held in your area. There are enough of you that if you all join, you can wield your weight and influence the location periodically. I mean it IS South West Ohio not just the Dayton, Miamisburg, Waynesville, Wilmington area. I love having the meetings in my backyard, but it's only fair that we have them in different locations. I know Nick, he will do ANYTHING!! to help folks join and participate, so if you all ask for meetings in your area, he'll do whatever it takes to put that together.
I sure hope you all consider joining and jump on board, we'd LOVE to have you!

By the way, do you have any pics of you BLRW? I just love that color and I'd really like to see them. I've been dreaming of creating cochins in that color. HA! So many chickens and so little space and time and money.

Too many excess roos at the Eaton swap for my liking. I only saw one pair of Serama, and one vendor with Japs...I did see and eventually buy some a nice pair of BBRed OEGB...silly me, now I need yet another pen. I got a couple layer chicks, one black sex link, and one BR...the Mrs. got a couple ducks...so now that's something else I have to learn about...

All in all better than sitting on the couch I guess, but I'm really looking forward to Troy....closer to home for me anyway! Sucks for me to be on what is the very most Northeastern edge of what is considered Southwest Ohio...lol
