Soybeans?

My hubby says that he thinks the chick and layer feed is made from soybeans, so why not feed them whole soybeans. I said my peeps say beans are bad for chickens.

SO, tell me oh wise chicken people, are soybeans good or bad?

Raw soybeans are bad for birds, but I don't see any difference between cooked whole and the stuff in bird food. I can't tell you anything about the debated risks... I haven't read about them yet... but I CAN tell you that my crew INHALED a bag of edamame (cooked green soybeans) in minutes!

The wise nutritionists tell us that uncooked soybeans have what are called anti-nutrients that interfere with a chicken's digestion.
