Sparrows eating all the feed

My chipmunk emptied my feeder in one day !
I FF now and feed in the AM and then in the PM and ONLY what they will finish in 1/2 hr.
So far this is working very nice. And it isn't hard either. Even if you work, I did it on my way out and when I got home. Now I am not working
I am hoping that those small Black Birds that fly in MASSIVE GROUPS don't find me chickens LOL

Yes! They just can't see the opening, to see it the should stand exactly in front of it! If they look from any other angle they see net!

Sparrow trap shown in the video is a form of a funnel trap. These are discussed in my treatise on trapping.

But I would still suggest starving them out is the better option and requires no effort on your part. I have both starlings and sparrows galore and they never get any feed from me.

Just a quick update on what worked getting rid of the sparrows.... went with the treadle feeder where the chicken has to step on the plate to open the feed door. I tried this one first:

but my girls were afraid of it. The noise it made when it slammed down made them not want to go near it. I propped it open and tried to train them slowly.... for about 2 weeks, but they didnt get it.
I finally traded it in for one that swings in to open and they took to it right away:
