Special feed to encourage egg laying?

Is there a certain feed my chickens eggs are getting like stringy I feed them oystershell crushed oystershell

Well, it isn't "special" but the quality of the egg sure is dependent upon good feed. Whenever I feed the hen's left over meat products, broth from cooking meat, etc I can just about predict. Two days later? Great eggs. Just goes to show that these birds sure do need animal protein.
