Im wondering if you can grind up special k and feed it to quail if anyone doesn't know what it is its a cereal here in new zealand.

Surely not as a standalone feed. Wouldn't have nearly enough protein in it. Although as a treat I don't see why not?

Human food is formulated for humans. Poultry food is for poultry. Not only is protein a factor, but other vitamins and minerals in proper amounts all need to be correct to keep their bodies functioning properly. Minerals for the brain, egg laying machines, retaining muscle, respiratory tract and heart, etc...

Special K is loaded with good vitamins for humans, but it will be lacking in some areas and over done in others. You can feed this crushed as a treat but it will certainly not maintain a healthy quail.
