Aw, I hope she continues to thrive. Fingers crossed she's able to eat on her own someday soon. Is she getting any wing feathers yet?One week old today. Still not eating by herself but she did Peck at the egg on my finger and knocked it off. She doesn't seem to be able to open her mouth. I hate to use the word but I have to force the egg into her mouth. I cut it in 1/8-1/4 side and an inch to two inches long. I hold her mouth open and put the end in and she works it down like a bird with a worm.
The new chick, changed her name to Gracy, thinks Seven has something in her mouth because of the scissor beak, and keeps pecking at her mouth. It was pecking at the one good she but Seven jumped on her and put a stop to it. Yes, I spend a lot of time watching them.
Her wing feathers are growing. I'll try to up load a picture of her parents. She's growing so fast. They both are. I think the girls have come to an understanding. I'm pretty sure Gracy knows Seven isn't right, but it seems Seven is the boss.Aw, I hope she continues to thrive. Fingers crossed she's able to eat on her own someday soon. Is she getting any wing feathers yet?
I spend lots of time watching my birds too. It's much better (and less stressful) than watching tv.
