I think they are basic ely gold duckwing. But I could be wrong.

Actually no, I'm very in love with Seven 🥰
She is a special little lady. I sprinkle chick feed on the floor of the brooder to help new chicks get started eating. Because of Gracie it is scattered around. Seven was following Gracie around pecking at the feed. poor Seven's scissor beak prevented her from getting anything. She was getting frustrated because Gracie was doing it and it seemed the right thing to do but she wasn't getting anything from it. She would Peck at Gracie 's toes and she (Gracie) would just walk away. It's a start. Seven has a hard row to hoe as my momma would say. I've decided she maybe can see movement but being blind and with a deformed beak it's a big handicap to overcome.I still hand feed her scrambled eggs but neither of us like it. All we can do is pray she figures it out.

I have everything crossed for you all 🤞

Even if things didn't work out, which I hope they do, think of the opportunity she has had. Not many out there may consider a impaired chick in their flock.

Lots of love to you, Seven and Gracie x

I wish they had orthodontic braces for chickens! To straighten her beak!

Now Seven has a Dorkin friend. Yesterday four Bresse and one Dorkin hatched.
