RIR's lay speckled eggs???? COOL! I have 2 that are 15 weeks old, almost.

Most of my Australorps lay speckled eggs.

My welsummer also lays dark speckled eggs. They are beautiful!

These are from my Cuckoo Marans. I have one hen that lays a light colored egg with speckling.

I have recently started getting eggs and they are way more speckled than any of the ones you guys showed! Do you think there is something wrong with the hens that are laying these? I would show you a pic but I don't know how to post it! the eggs are brown with TONS of white speckles. my hens are golden comets. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

All of these eggs have very pretty speckles !

I've never liked plain colored eggs, except for those blues, greens, and pinks !

I really do wonder if people can start breeding for speckled eggs.

I cannot, as I still live in Public Housing.

I'm glad someone asked this question because I get a speckled egg daily.....it must be one of my barred rocks.

I have two red sex links, one lays a huge egg, the others is always darker brown and speckled. they both lay daily and were hatched this last spring.

I hatched some welsummer eggs from bargain, and some of the eggs were speckled. I ended up with 2 females, so maybe I'll be getting some dark speckled eggs.

My BR also occasionally lays a speckled egg. It looks like someone splattered lavendar paint on her egg.
