Speckled Sussex - Roo or Hen?

I'm very curious about the tail too as I have a baby that's very feminine except that tailfeather that curls.

I've posted this pic elsewhere - I have a confirmed hen (witnessed her laying an egg multiply times, had her for 11 months now) with curled tail feathers. It can happen some times :)

You have a little female for sure! The male SS I have raised were very obvious by 4 or 5 weeks old. This group is a little older than that but it will give you and idea of what a male will look like.;)

Yeah that pic is 100% female and clearly so. People get way too hung up on "curly" tails feathers. It's not a good way to sex juvenile birds at all.
