Crowing is the best thing about chickens, I love the sound.

Unfortunately, he knows way more about chickens and roosters than I do. He was raised on a farm and at age 3 had a very mean rooster attack him more than once.

A "cuddles" rooster will change his mind.....that and a lot of tears on your part.

I don't think so...lol He hasn't ever cuddled even the chickens.

He has no idea what he is missing....My Wife and I sit in the warm week or so we get here and have a wine cooler or beer while cuddling the birds at our feet...roosters included. Cuddle's was one of the first into our laps.

Yes, definitely.

When they feather in "not chick fluff", a lot of white on the chest generally indicated cockerels.

He has no idea what he is missing....My Wife and I sit in the warm week or so we get here and have a wine cooler or beer while cuddling the birds at our feet...roosters included. Cuddle's was one of the first into our laps.

His family didn't raise chickens as pets but he had his favorites and use to fudge the egg records so they wouldn't be eaten. His dad figured it out and they became dinner.
