Speckled Sussex?

His family didn't raise chickens as pets but he had his favorites and use to fudge the egg records so they wouldn't be eaten. His dad figured it out and they became dinner.
If I ate the lazy welfare receivers I would have no hens left.
 
I can’t find a good 4 week photo of mine. At 3 weeks she had no chest feathers so that doesn’t help. Here she is at 5.5-6 weeks.

White chested SS chicks are typically cockerels. But its to early to say for sure.

Here is my little SS, she'll be 1 year old in May. She was always the smallest of the group. She is now the 2nd largest of the group. She had a white chest as a chick so don't always believe the above statement.

Here she is with her mates, all the same age. She's quite a bit smaller and has the white chest...
