Speckled Sussex?

Today is Day 1 of the Speckled Sussex experience. I was gifted three from a neighbor of sorts 1 1/2- to 2 hours away. She was looking for a good home and we qualified yeah for us. They have only been here half a day so far but it is a testament to their handler and true mother hen Cindy as well as to the nature of the breed itself. Cindy said they could be expected to lay in 60 or so days. I can't wait, until then we will spend a little time each day getting to know each other. ~BMW

Just wanted to share my 1st ever hatchings and they are (3) Speckled Sussex (DOB 8/25/12) & (2) Welsummers (DOB 8/25/12).

Does anyone have hatchery SS which are NOT sweet? Which hatchery are they from???

I have two SS from McMurray that are 5 days old an dpretty skittish. They look different from the pics above.... That one above almost looks like my partridge rock chick..... Maybe the hatchery identified them for me wrong? I'll post a pic and see what you think....
