Thank you. My husband says "If it holds still, she will bead it" LOL. I do love working with braintan deer, elk and moose and of course buffalo...

and BTW I love your quilts. I did my first "basket" pattern a few years ago...OMG it was horrid. I do not do well with all the new fangled gadgets of cutters and this and that. I do much better with a picture in my mind, a brown paper bag to make a pattern and a pair of scissors.

For example, Suede is drawn on a whole deerhide. LOL I will use the rest for the fringework on the project, for backing on him and so forth. Notice the clothes pins holding the rolled up edges of the hide...That is only so I do not have to fiddle with the sides of the hide each time I run one of the needles through. LOL

Well finally an update on the Suedenator. Life has gotten in the way of progress along with a funeral but more so hampering progress has been my own self critique. The poor guy has been beaded and yanked and rebeaded so much the deerhide probably feels like a pin cushion.

This is an odd angle buy I was wanting to avoid the flash glare on the colors...the light blue still looks whitish but it is not....promise.

Hopefully I will get a broody sometime soon so I can let her hatch me some suedettes and suede juniors. I do so love this rooster. I am thinking that the next time I fly home to the reservation I am going to visit Cyn and just hang out with the blue tank for a few hours. hehehehe he is too big to sneak on the plane so snatching him and running is out of the question.
