That one is a little shrimp, but it will probably catch up to the other one. Its egg was smaller, too, right? Let us know when you candle the others. You'll have to turn the egg to the air cell end to see well, since it will be full of chick in the rest of it.

what a difference in the size of those two babies

I cannot stay awake any longer, so I will say a prayer for you and your last few eggs before falling asleep and check back in the AM.

I'm up for a while yet. If you run into a rough patch and Cyn has gone to bed you can call and I'll tell you how I hatch mine when I need too.

I am afraid there will be no more orps for me....I have lost the last one. I did not have to candle at the air cell at all. when I turned on the light and was about to turn the egg I saw all I needed to. One half of the egg lengthwise is nice and dark with a good air cell at the end...however the other side of the egg is completely clear...there is no movement of course. However, I did not have the heart to give up just yet so it is back in the bator. It was good on Day 10 and Day 12, so somewhere from Day 12 to Day 21 I lost that baby.

Kira's second egg is gone...there was a clear mostly developed baby right in the middle of the egg. I suspected a bloodring on this egg on Day 12 at the second candling, Day 17 there was a viable baby, so somewhere over this lockdown, I lost that baby.

One of my green EE's is also gone...bloodring was very very clear. Day 12 candle was good on this one.

My remaining delaware egg was dark as all could be and before I could put the light to the air cell, I felt it moving in my hand so I put it right back inside.

I cannot see into one of my EE's and never have been able to because it is a dark olive colored shell and just too dark for my inexperienced eyes...so it is staying with the delaware egg in the bator.

Tomorrow I will remove my last orp egg and toss it. If I have the heart I will open it and take pics hopefully it will aid someone.

But....I have 8 beautiful babies...2 wonderful suede babies, two hysterical Issac babies and still a chance for a third Ike baby. I am not holding out hope for any other babies, except maybe the delaware. I will give it until tomorrow night at bedtime which will be Day 23 plus a few hours...then I will turn off the bator and dispose of any eggs.

Wow...what a road this has been....I will keep the thread updated until I am sure there is not a viable baby in the bator. I am extremely happy that 12 eggs that shipped 3000 miles in hot weather, took 3 days to arrive, got jossled by a psycho broody, sat on the counter 2 days and finally went in a bator, gave me four beautiful babies. In reality, 7 of them went into Day 17 and then lockdown and I got 4 babies so far...not bad hatching in my inexperienced opinion.

Cyn, hug Smoky and Suede for me and tell them both THANK YOU, I will take great care of the babies...visitation for Suede and Smoky is always available at anytime they wish to visit the kids. Just call Delta and tell me what airport to pick em up at.

Cyn, little Cannonball did come from that smaller dark egg...I have one other just like it that has movement in it and it is in the bator.

I think you got a pretty good hatch rate for shipped eggs, especially during the summer. Congrats!

Thanks gal...I am hopinh this last delaware starts cracking...but if not, and there is movement, I will allow it to stay...sadly, I will toss Smoky's last egg tomorrow. I just did not have the heart to do it tonight. *sigh*

But, with what these eggs went through, I am tickled with the results.
