Last time I was in Kansas, I was scared out of my wits. Creeped out, actually. We were driving cross country and came across a hippie-type van, complete with flowers painted on it, flower-children, a man and several women. I swear, it looked like Charlie Manson's gang. We were in this tiny, almost deserted town, trying to find a place to eat with our two young sons, and the sheriff was parked over on the side, watching the people in the van. We left without eating and I swear, it was Twilight Zone time!

I think I saw a movie like that!! So many people in this world today that think of nothing but how to do bad things to each other, glad you didn't get near the Manson gang!
Yeah I am surprised at how many new members there are joining everyday too, lots of new names on the board all the time, it does make it hard to keep up with everyone! BUt, then again, that means there are ALOT more people that love chickens, lol!!!

Hey, I grew up in the 60's! It wasnt that they were hippie-types, per se, it was the time warp thing that had us creeped out and the fact that the sheriff was watching them, like he knew something!

Yeah, I was just teasing ya. I would be a little sketchy too if my kid was with me, out in the middle of Kansas going through some twilight zone warp.

The sheriff watching them probably added a certain level of creepiness to it too.
