Heres one that was hanging out in my cellar last year... (i'm sure shes still there too.. )
I let her stay cause i wanted her to eat any mice(plus, shes not dangerous,.. so i didnt want to harm her..).. but then someone so nicely reminded me thay can have a zillion babies.. :/
There are far too many spider pictures and not enough snakes.
These pictures are all from the last 2 years, I've yet to find any snakes this year. I could get hundreds of pics of spiders, but I'll be honest, I'm afraid of them....they move too quick and can disappear..especially if they get on me.
I'll do a few posts because I have so many pictures...hope no one minds.
The first pic is one of 2 favorites that I have found..it's a red belly and was very friendly and pretty
Pics 2 and 3 are Eastern garters, found at my parents..#2 is a close up and #3 is the 7 snakes in a pile
#4 and 5 are another red belly, top and bottom, to show the range of colors they come in
First is a shorthead garter (threatened or endangered, I forget which) and a redbelly. The garter was missing the end of it's tail. If you haven't noticed, I don't generally hold garters..they musk and are generally unfriendly.
#2 is a better pic of the same shorthead garter...I think these were taken on 2 different days.
#3 is an eastern garter..different pattern than I'm used to
#4 and 5 are a little, teeeeeny baby ringneck that was possibly the most adorable thing I've ever seen.
I just remembered a story where my brother and his kids went out and creepy eyes on the ground. He turned the flashlight on and the ground was COVORED with spiders!
We saw a gray king snake yesterday! It was after our chick, so I caught it and showed every one then took it FAR across the street an the woods. But the battery was dead in my camera, so no pic.
