Spiders and snakes (don't come if your paranoid of them, because there are pics) Come over Redhen!

Red, it wouldn't have been a Black Widow. They avoid us as much as possible. Besides you'l usually see their spikey looking eggs sacks before you see them. Actually lately I've had problems with a cousin of the arachnids, scorpions! I hate them, their stings feel like you've been stuck with a red hot poker. And the burning lasts up to six hours, and I've been stung eight times over the last three weeks. So I've declared war, I hate using insecticides but I needed to get some sleep. Yep, stung in my bed.

That's terrible. I don't blame you for wanting to keep them out of your bed. How can someone do that besides using bug spray? Mosquito netting probably wouldn't help much since the little buggers creep up from underneath. Yuck.

Still, scorpions are amazing critters. Best appreciated from afar.

Umm, JD, if I were you, I wouldn't let that information get around.

That reminds me of an eposide of INFESTED where the couple had scorpions falling on their heads it was so bad.Glad you got it under control. If I remember right they used cedar oil all over to drive them out of the wood home.

There's a TV show called "Infested"???????????????????? Are there any subjects that do not have a TV show nowadays? Maybe we should start a thread of "unlikely" TV shows! lol

I love lizards. Little geckos on the hotel walls and ceilings when I was in the Middle East, they were so cute and they ate roaches! But my best encounter was at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. I was walking down an outdoor stairway and found myself eye to eye with a big skink that was sunning itself on a stone column that put me at eye level on the bottom step. It just blinked at me and stuck its lizardy toungue out. It could have nipped my nose if it wanted, but I guess I didn't look very threatening, or tasty.
