It got really cold here this week, for this early. It was down in the mid-twenties every night. There was a thin layer of ice on one of the horse troughs!! The geese didn't even seem to notice, lol! I made sure to bring in some extra hay to make a big fluffy bed for them, which seemed to make them happy. Our farrier was here today with his 20-month-old daughter, and I took her over to see the ducks and the geese and she really loved it!!

Thanks for the update, Lightning! It sounds like things are working out well with your boys. I would love to see new pics!! I have missed you and didn't realize you were stalking the thread. lol Hm... any other supporters of the rescue thread also following this thread and not saying hi??

Onto Spirit news.... since it has been lightly snowing and the temps stayed warmer last night, Spirit got to stay outside for the 1st time in almost 6 weeks! Of course, as soon as I woke up, I jumped out of bed and raced out back to check on him this morning. He's waiting at the food bowl, looking hungry, but otherwise happy. Unfortunately, he will have to come back inside tonight as usually it gets super cold after a good snow. But, it sure was nice to not have to do the nightly terrorist catching routine last night.

Hope everyone's geese and other loved pets are doing well this holiday season!!

I got a few good shots today, so here are some pictures, Janet. The first one is Finch in the pool, and the next two are of Atticus. I took these today, just for you!! You can still see the weird feather on Atticus' wing. How do they look to you?

Lightning, thank you for sharing pics!!!!!!!!!! They look great!!!!!!!!! Not sure what is going on with that wing, but I would bet that when he molts, it will look normal afterwards.
