Speaking of mating, I had a first here today, the flock hasn't had a pool of water in a couple of weeks but today i set a plastic dish pan out on the patio with water in it to wash my boots off before coming inside. well I noticed Sammy was trying to take a bath in it but next thing I hear is him announcing to the world that him and Missy have be at it again I look out and Missy is straddling the dish pan and Sammy is standing over her, So this was their rendition of mating in the water even if it was a dish pan. It was so hilarious.

Miss Lydia, that's so funny. And to think, I was stressing over getting pools into the goose mating pens. I guess I'll just bring them some 18" x 24" x 8" deep walmart storage containers. Or a dish pan. Do they like it if your boots are next to it??? LOL

LMAO!!! A picture is worth a thousand laughs if you had only gotten one. Mine just take baths with air and no water. It is funny to watch the geese and the ducks go through the motions and think it is just great.

I was in the house looking out the picture window. Looked to the left at the frozen pond and Sassafras was trying to walk on the ice on the pond. Then comes along Spicie one of our ganders. He was slipping all over and then the two started ice skating with each other which turned into let have a little sex here and now. They were sliding all over the pond ice but Spicie finally got the duty done and anounced it to the world how great he was!

Mine do that makes me think of mimes when they act like their bathing but there isn't anything there but air. I would have loved to have gotten one but it was over way to quick.

My boots came inside with me Marty if I had left them out there one of them would have gotten into the pan somehow.. This was all done on ice too being everything walkable is covered with a sheet of it.
