Having animals is a great gift as they give us so much and never ask for anything in return. On Firday I myself will be taking my lab to the vet as he had a seizure on Sunday. We want to know if he has epilepsy so we can treat now not later. I cried so much that night that my eye's almost closed from the swelling. I stayed up with him until 5 am when my bod said "GO TO SLEEP"!!! I just kept thinking of you and your puppy. I have had CJ since he was 3 weeks old and now he is 5 yrs old. I hope your pup will pull out of this slump but if not at least you know you did everything in you power to take good care of him. I will be thinking of you in you dilema and prayers will be sent your way for sure!!!!!

Hope your Lab is OK. My Lab has a grand mal seizure one time; it was very frightening. It never happened again, though. It was just a freak thing. It's possible he ate something he shouldn't have. Hopefully, you will have the same experience.
We just got back from vet's office. Her chest xrays were good and bloodwork, while not so good, does not show obvious organ failure. They injected fluids, antibiotics, prednisone, phenobarbital, and anti-nausea meds into her and then we took her home. They said if she responds, we will see improvement within 12-24 hours. If no improvement, then it will be time and our vet is on standby to come to our home tomorrow, just in case.

I hope the meds help.

Thank you all for your support.

Bonnie is showing some improvement and I don't think today is the day. I even want to be hopeful she may bounce back for a couple more weeks. But she is showing textbook signs of reaching the next stage of this terminal illness and my vet made clear... we are in our final days. I am so grateful that hubby has the next two days off to be here with her and to help out with everything. I just hope she can perk up enough to have it be precious quality time.

Paulla, beautiful pics!
