Spirit - the amazing grey dewlap toulouse gander!

J Spirit is looking just wonderful gaining back weight and filling out like dewlaps do!!! Such a handsome boy.

Glad to hear Bonnie has kick the the URI and is doing better! YEA! Bonnie......

Triplell glad to hear you found out for sure CJ has it. This way it can be treated according to what works best with CJ....... Glad there are no other problems with blood work.

Bonnie amazingly bounced back again. The vet thinks she got an upper respiratory infection, which can take out a cancer patient out pretty quickly. But the antibiotic shot knocked it out of her system, and the Benadryl and Pepcid ac made her feel better, too. He is back to saying he believes we still have weeks, if not another month or two, left with her.

Triplell, I am hoping for the best for your pup. Please let us know what happens with vet today!!

Good Morning,
Well I am back from the Vet and CJ does have epilepsy, he had another small seizure this morning and another at the vets office. So now he is on phenabarbital. UGH!!!!!!!

He also weighs 110 lbs, for a yellow lab that seems like he would be fat but he is almost twice the size of most of them. CJ also towers over all his siblings and parents.

Iain, I am so glad that Bonnie bounced back so you can create more good memories with her.

for Bonnie and CJ Hope their meds continue to work miracles.

Thank you everyone, Spirit is looking great!!! I am doing okay but getting exausted though. :th I have decided to sell my Geese this fall. It is getting just to hard and too much on my own. I had to move my Toulouse pair as he is fighting with the ganders next to him on both sides. He has even torn apart some of the divider and tore off the chicken wire too. THe other ganders have bloody bills. So now I have moved the Toulouse to the front of the barn all by them selves.:he I repaired the mess and let each pen out for a quick bath. The temps here are 25F.

Tinite CJ will get his 2nd pill and then see how he reacts to it.:fl Perhaps the drugs will calm him down alittle bit so I can finish his training to be my other service dog. Sadie keeps my blood pressure down and angsity kept at bay with out giving me anymore meds. Other wise I can't drive. The Doc's don't want me lifting more than 5 lbs:lau so CJ would carry my purse and other items in a backpak for dogs. Also he has helped me stay upright when I loose my balance. (I walk with two canes). My life has thrown me some side curves but" If my head is in the air and my feet hit the ground, THEN BY GOD IT MUST BE AN AWSOME DAY!!!!!!!!!!!" :celebrate This is my favorite saying when people ask how are you doing? I always make sure I have a big smile when I this coment.

Thank you!!! I am very happy that Spirit is doing great and Bonnie bounced back so well.

Triplell, sorry you are going through a tough time. Sending positive wishes that CJ responds well to the pheno! Hopefully you won't have to part with your geese once your hubby gets home and can help.

I hope everyones weekend was eventfull. Mine was not!!! Last night we had a small barn fire. Some chickens hurt and possibly wont make it. The fire from a heat lamp that was for keeping the water liquid and the light socket must have shorted out. I went to the barn to the barn to do chores and the whole barn was full of smoke. I lost two portions of my coop and some chickens were injured. Thank GOD for the FD, I was amazed that they were able to get through the snow banks that were 3 feet deep. Dad and I had alittle smoke inhailation but it will be till spring for repairs.
