As far as I know, we don’t have any other males. Our flock has some pretty dominant females though, so maybe that has impacted this? We received the Spitz, SS, WJG, Barred Cochin, and Black Australorp as a surprise box as chicks. All are roughly 15 weeks now. These photos were taken on Tuesday.Oh yeah, good looking cockerel. Do you have another rooster in your flock? All my Spitzes started to crow at 11 weeks. Another rooster could delay that though.
If you look at your original pictures, in the second one you can clearly see a tiny waddle behind the jaw (you can see it in both, but pic #2 is really telling). Female Spitzes don't show waddles forever, but males can be seen definitively as early as 3 weeks.
